Can anyone make heads or tails of the language on plantingplate.jpg plantingplate1.jpg this? I put some cornstarch to bring out the letters. The people appear to be gardening. Thanks!

Seems a similar scene to this artwork by Jean-Francois Millet. They are harvesting wheat. Th writing is a mystery. Or I could be way off base.

Or La Corona, Mexico? I couldn't find anything with a scene, just flowers.

The house in the background is white washed. The trees could be olive trees.
Judging from the dress with hats on top of headscarves, it could be Alentejo, Portugal.
When I was there in the 80s, women were still harvesting like this and wearing those headscarves with hats.

Everybody squint and you can make out the second and third lines as S. Pedro do Corval. Any Jewelry gets the prize.

If wildrose had come clean about that vacation to Portugal, we'd have figured it out a lot sooner.
