Reframing a Sampler

I picked up this sampler and it is sagging and I would like to attempt to straighten it. Before I start taking it apart I'm wondering how these are usually mounted and is it a simple fix OR am I wasting my time trying to fix something that is a pain and better left alone.

 

In my experience, one always gets better results when working with a professional framer.

If you're looking at resale, let the buyer deal with it.

Won't know how it's mounted until you take it apart, but I suspect it's fabric folded over and glued.

An important question: just how fragile is the fabric? Because that's what can kill ya.

 

The base fabric doesn't look old enough for this to be an antique.

 

that's a pretty sampler ...but with no name or date.....leave it the way it is..

 

There was a store "Old America " that sold samplers like this . Im pretty sure this has no real age. Doesnt mean it isnt pretty though.
