Regency table

    Hi all I have this regency table I bought at auction I was wondering could anyone tell me more about it thanks

    Was it sold to you as being from the Regency period?

    No my dad knew it was by the hinges and lock he knows his stuff with furniture

    Antique Pembroke table. Might be a tad later than Regency period but certainly a 19th century antique. Did you buy this in England? Hard to tell the wood from this picture but possibly cherry.

    Hi there it's mahogany thanks for reply I bought it in wicklow Ireland the place I bought it I got some fantastic pieces I got a 17th century small table and a regency open waterfall bookcase love my furniture

    It's definitely an old one - the drawer pushes in too far for it to be 20th century and the drawer lock is real instead of just ornamental. I'm guessing there may be holes for castors in the feet. The real furniture junkies will want to see pictures of the joints and the underside to figure out how old it really is.

    Hi there thanks for that. Yeah it has a real lock on it and would have had castors once I know it's older than 20th century that I do know. I will post more pics soon

    Now you've said Ireland, I'm not surprised. Has the look of a decent bit of early 19tth Irish provincial mahogany.

    I like the drawer pulls on the latest table you posted. Not a furniture expert, think it's very nice. Ah, I see you have other discussions started about your furniture. I need to catch up!

    I love them too tgey are real 17th century handles if you look up 17th century handles u can see some similar. I only found this site by chance and loving it really learning so much and love chatting with everyone. Lovely bunch of people
