Lunchtime Honey was the retail brand of honey sold by Captain Distributing P/L, a company owned by my father Lloyd Freeman and his brother Murray. They operated out of Islington St Collingwood and later from Weston St Brunswick. The company operated from the 50's until the mid-seventies when sold to an English company Unigate (not Unilever). They bought honey mainly from beekeepers in Gippsland and blended it to come up with that sold as Yellow Box. They also exported bulk honey to USA and Japan. They exhibited every year at the Melbourne Show and Honey Week, on the lower floor of the Melbourne Town Hall in April school holiday (I think).

Welcome, John. It's always nice & usually informative when someone comes along with a personal connection to a posted item. Honey Week sounds sweet.
