Retro glassware?

    Had these for awhile. My mother received the larger of the two, for a wedding gift in the fifties. Birds feel painted on. Not too sure about the other piece. Not too sure if it was an ashtray or not. There aren't any of the little "grooves" for the cigarette. No marks on either piece. Retro or not?

    I'd think candy dish for the second - and PERFECT for Christmas!

    I am not sure but the first one reminds me of the Fire King or Hocking Distelfink bowls I have seen. Excuse my spelling if not correct.

    And perhaps it is a chip bowl that is missing the dip bowl part.
