    Hi,
I picked up this beautiful Sherman bracelet but it is missing one rhinestone. Does anyone here do replacement work or can you recommend someone who does?
I seem to think I read somewhere that Sherman pieces have a special finish on them so you can only replace them with another Sherman stone but I could be wrong on that.
I've been looking for replacement stones but not finding any so I thought I would try here.
    Any information appreciated
    thanks for looking

I don't know anything about Sherman rhinestones, but do know that Fire Mountain Gems & Beads has a wide selection of rhinestones.

One thought... if you can't get a close enough replacement for the missing rhinestone, you could take out all the ones in that center column and replace them with a different color. It could look really neat!

KOT, thanks for the link! I've just sent an e-mail to see if she has any replacement stones (keeping my fingers crossed).
Pat I'll keep this until I can find a replacement. Sherman collectors want their pieces 'right' and will forgive a replacement stone but I don't think they would like it if I replaced a whole bunch:)

Ah, if you're going to sell it, then that makes total sense. :)

Bump it up. Marieforjan does this type of replacement and she's here on and off. She's fixed pieces for me before.

Good choice, Cx; my wife has used Rhinestone Rosie many times. They even replaced a missing inlay on a Native American bracelet.

    Was it expensive?

I didn't think so - it was $18 for the stone and replacing the safety chain plus shipping. I sent 3 other pieces at the same time, the total (including shipping) for everything was $56.00.
Today I found another Sherman bracelet that needs a repair so I'll wait until I have a couple of other pieces and send them off together.

Thank you. I have several pieces that are missing one or two rhinestones. I'll have to pull them out see if it's worth it. I think one set is Sherman and one is Weiss.
