This signed work by First Nations artist, Richard Hunt, is called "Kwa-Gulth Beaver." The pencil signature is faded, but the colors are still gorgeous. There were a number of works by Canadian artists for sale, but close examination of the others showed dots. This one did not. I found in my research, the same piece, which was labelled as a serigraph. SIGNED RICHARD HUNT KWA-GULTH BEAVER SERIGRAPH PRINT | eBay I don't know enough about print making to know the difference.

I am hoping our members who are knowledgeable about what was used by First Nation artists to create these wonderful designs can help me determine what this is - a print, a lithograph or a serigraph or something else. I have added a couple of close ups for your consideration. I massaged the signature and title photos to make them more distinct, but they are quite faded. The frame is simple wood. The work itself is 8" by 5." It will go on a wall to be admired, whatever it is. But I also hope to use it to learn how to distinguish between types of treatments. I think this is probably a photo-mechanical print, doesn't have the sharply defined edges of a silkscreen IMO

Nah, not really, we were all in the silkscreen racket back in the day, disgruntled underpaid graphic artists :jimlad::wideyed::artist::mad::D

Being an artist is not your most lucrative of professions, I suppose. I started off in one of those too.
