I'm trying to learn more about a stove located in the study of my Kingston NY home, which was built in 1885 by Guileford Hasbrouck. A visitor recently told me that he believed it to be a modern imitation, which seems unlikely to me but prompted me to pursue some more research. To me, it looks like it could have been a coal stove; it is circular in shape and set into the fireplace. Its labels are "Richardson & Boynton Co." in the middle and "Perfect 53" on the top. Research has yielded that the company in question operated in Red Hook, NY (directly across the Hudson River from Kingston) from the mid 1800s until 1896. "Perfect" was a label applied to many of their stoves and furnaces, but I haven't been able to find any products that look like the stove in my study:

This may be what is called a fireplace insert parlor stove. The inserts all seem to have this weird rounded front. Here are a few examples:

I haven't had any luck finding Richardson & Boynton insert stoves. Have taken the liberty of re-posting one of your pictures showing it upright as well as resizing it. You probably took the pics with your phone. Most times when pics appear sideways, they were taken with cell phones. If one clicks on the pics, they appear right side-up. Your pic is:
    Dimension-wise 2448 pixel wide x3264 pixel high
    Weight-wise: 1.92 MB = 1,975 KB = 2,021,846 bytes

    Resized:
    Dimension-wise: 450 pixel wide x 600 pixel high
    Weight-wise: 50 KB = 50,783 bytes
