looks like a 60's tourist item.....but WDIK ?

 

There was a brand of cigarettes by that name in the 70's in the UK

 

maybe I mistook the carriage for American............

 

Maybe it isn't for those cigs, just a guess on my part

 

If I had to guess... I'd think 1950s-ish. That's based on the old tyme-y imagery and the material. A branded ashtray. The Richmond tobacco logo was sans-serif. Could have been for a restaurant. I would think the value was in the copper.

@Coins beads @Debora @komokwa My question is , is it silver plated copper or copper plated Pot metal ? My guess is Pot Metal but WDIK also .....lol

 

ya got me there.......I can't tell which metal is showing thru which....
But those braces on the bottom are weird !!!!
