Ring- Modern tourist or vintage?

    Do you think this ring is recent tourist tat or anything of more interest?. I’m rather liking the glass stones which look like little beetles. Base metal and adjustable (presumably that makes it more recent?)

    Collecting Costume Jewelry 303 (Julia C Carroll) has this style of glass cab, but with little info except color options (pink, sapphire, emerald, white, and Siam) and "likely German"...

    I've only seen this glass in round cabs, though. I'm pretty sure these cabs are a special interest of @evelyb30 , so maybe she'll have more to add.
