    Also, what may the stone?

    Looks like an artisan piece, made IK are the artist's initials.

    Don't know about the stone :(

    I think the stone might be rose quartz.

    I dont know,it was just a guess. I dont see why they wouldnt? I dont know much about jewelry. :)

    Yes, you can facet quartz.
    A popular fashion these days is "cushion" cut. Examples below are rose quartz.

    The stone in the ring looks like what I'd call a "grade Z" ruby. It's a real ruby, but the stone is low quality. Stones like that one are quite popular. It's a factory made piece created to look like some ancient artisan made it. I've never run into a real artisan piece a size stamped into it yet.

    That low grade ruby reminds me of low grade emeralds, right.
