Ring

Looks like sterling to me but no marks found. Also, what’s the stone?

 

Pattern wire,commercial prong setting most likely student/hobbyist made.Stone looks like smokey quartz in photo.

 

I have seen a ring like that with an early Czechoslovakian silver mark. At the time I thought the mount and stone could have been added to an older ring. In that case there seemed to be a difference in colour between the mount and the ring.
