Roadrunner Bookend? Age? Mark?

    What decade do you think this bird statue is from? Weighs over 5 pounds, about 13" wide by 9" high. I think the base is marble and the bird is brass. Anyone recognize the mark? Would this be a bookend? Thank you for looking!

    Very cute, but not a bookend. No way to hold the books upright. Just "sits on a shelf and looks pretty."

    Just a guess as to what I can read. It is not a known mark I can find. Maybe someone can make more sense of what it might say. Do you have a loupe or magnifier you can look with?

    It looks like there is a CO between the number 3. Then an OPL or UPL in the next area. Thanks for your help!

    I don't want to be the crazy person here, but I am not seeing what you guys are seeing...

    I'm not seeing roadrunner at all, but, maybe crane of some sort.

    And maybe not English writing in that mark -- but whether it's Cyrillic or Kanji, I don't know... that's how much I can't tell what's going on. So, it's probably English. :p

    I see the similarities, I'm just not convinced... though I don't think crane is right the answer, either.

    I do wish the mark was clearer.
