I have a set of table knives made by Joseph Rodgers of Sheffield.

Being Victorian, they of course pre-date stainless steel.

The handles are made of mother of pearl.

Can anyone help narrow the date of manufacture within the Victorian period?

"Her Majesty" should refer to Victoria who died shortly after the turn of the century 1902? So certainly no later than that plus or minus a bit.

When you say "table knives" how long exactly?

Sorry. I am in Australia and we use metric. The scale in my photo is in cm.

So the knife is 24 cm long (i.e., 9.5 inches).
