    Hi,

I acquired this desk last week and have done hours and hours of research and turned up with nothing. Can anyone help identify this desk?

    Dimensions:
54 in width x 28 in depth x 45 in height from bottom to the top of roll top or 30 inch height to top of desk without the roll top

There is a hidden compartment in the bottom left drawer. 2 of the drawers on the left side seem to be custom carved. All the drawers have a "handle that goes up behind the wood details.

The sticker is for Lin Shan Hoa Plywood Corp. of Taiwan (which isn't a good sign.)

Styling suggests 70s-80s. Think this is likely an Asian import, which would explain why you are not finding anything quie like it.

I certainly wouldn't call it rare, but I'd take unusual. The configuration of those drawers is not meant to be as it appears in the picture. The carved ones should go one on each side, at the same level. Please, it's triggering all my OCDs.
It might not be worth much, but it looks quite pleasing all the same--and as far as desks go, roll tops rule!

Around here you have to pay people to haul them off, sorry to say. Even the local ReStore has trouble shifting them.
