    trying to ID these rosettes and this 2 1/2” projectile

    You need to measure diameter very carefully. I think it is a single grapeshot for either a 24 or 18-pounder Gun. You can see from the table how critical that measurement is, there’s no US 2.5” grapeshot, but there are such just a bit larger and smaller.
