Royal Rosen... something...

Hi Guys - I hope everyone is having a great day, and thank you for answering my last question on the forum.

I'm a newbie and joined to hopefully learn about some of the stuff I find (and occasionally sell on when my partner moans about the 'junk' I've accumulated)... so all help is very appreciated.

Unless something has a manufacturing mark I can look up, I'm hopeless with identification, and after trawling the internet this one has me stumped. Can anyone shed light on where this is from/how old... anything

I purchased it for about 5 pounds on eBay a few years ago.

It looks like Rosenthal to me but I'm not knowledgeable about these kinds of things, so it's just at a guess of the name for potential further research.

 

Thank you. It's one of the names which came up when I searched, but I couldn't find a similar mark. It has two R's back to back in the small square, which can't be seen very well on the image. When I try searching for two R's back to back... I get a lot of goobledegook from the internet ... By the way, love the cats, I used to have two siamese.

 

More knowledgeable people will be along. My cats help me by inspecting everything carefully before I post. Thank you.

 

I inverted and sharpened it, and THINK I see "oft" at the very end, with the 't' right ON the line of the square....like they ran out of room.... but then there's that one letter I can't make out and they don't add up....not sure it helps!! BTW, in that little square, looking like a backwards K and forwards R on enlargement.....at least something to try???

Hm. Gut feel is that this is an Asian/Chinese pseudo mark made to look older. The object has that feel to it.
