    Hi,

If anyone has a good site I could visit or gain knowledge of this clock please could you let me know, its a Garrard and Co, large carriage clock.

Its keeping perfect time and a good size, it says Quartz Swiss 1837276 and is a fair weight at nearly 2kg and sized at 15x12cm (with handle folded down).

I still have the battery cover (not pictured) I just removed the battery for my own piece of mind.

I dont really mind if its not a high value, I just would not like to under-sell the item so any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Martin

    Where's af.

Anyhow, it's newish and it's battery, so even with the Garrard name that pushes the value down.

You do, however, have a serial number. I'd contact Garrard, who are jolly nice people and ask what it would have cost new. Price it at between a quarter and a third of that. My guess would be that will come out around the thirty to forty quid mark.

As we've learned here, probably from AF or Manson's...or both....there are clocks that are called this...but are not.

Yup, but that one looks fine. It's too low priced new to fake.

Bit too new for me. Despite the distinguished name I'd say only modest value. Clock people will not be interested and it's a bit old fashioned (so fin de siecle) for home decoration.

It would have sold better about 30 years ago. Now, in these parts you'd pretty well have to give it away. Younger people just use their phones instead of clocks and watches, and the older ones already have things like this.
