Hi there, I have been able to find a little on this lamp but can anyone give me an estimated price or any more information? It was my great grandmothers, I’m thinking late 1800 or early 1900s. Thank you! BD70E86E-0DB6-410D-983B-184DC56BA99C.jpeg CCDA860D-1A4E-483B-B8F9-FDBFB300AC17.jpeg

A bit outside my area but I think I've seen this stuff described as Goofus glass?

It is a pretty lamp. Is there a name on the dial of the burner (does not help ID a maker, but just out of curiosity)?

I don't think this was ever meant to be painted "goofus glass" but a nicely mold formed satin gone with the wind lamp bottom. The top appears less "satiny" and doesn't quite match. The whole thing and especially the glass formed in red doesn't look old to me, but I am not an expert on glass age. Please show a photo of the top and the bottom, we have some members who are glass experts and some who are lamp collectors. Please show close ups of the hardware metals.

The hardware on the base looks legit to the 1890-1910 time period. The shade and it's hardware look recent, and as Antidiem said, do not match the satin glass base. Since this is a marriage it will drive the price down. I recently bought one of similar size (different colors) that was totally original for $40.00.

You are all correct, I remember my mom saying the top had broken at some point, this is not a matching set. Would I be dumb for selling it for 75$? Or could I get something more for just the base since it is a mismatch?

If you have a buyer for $75, I would take it and run. The satin glass is pretty, but not worth that kind of money.

Yes, take the $75. Bases are rather easy to come by if you know where to look. Before the Covid-19 shutdowns, I bought a box with about 10 bases for $25 at a flea market. Most were in very good shape and as nice as the one you have on your lamp.

If the burner assembly pulls out from the font, it can be worth quite a bit itself.
