Color of stones in first photo more like tanzanite than sapphire. Is this how they look in ordinary lighting?

Central cabochon looks like amethyst. What's causing that blue-purple reflection on the bail?

I'm trying to figure out if it is changing the way the faceted stones look.

A white background might show the color better. Also a pic of the backside would be helpful.

Try to take a pic which shows what you see:peeking:
Color, which depends on the light and the background you used, not blurry to show all the details:rolleyes:

Wow, that second set of photos looks so different from the first one.:jawdrop:
Very pretty pendant, but a sterling pendant is unlikely to have sapphires of this size. Best have them tested.

Agreed regarding testing. Am aware that in the 60s and 70s, sterling jewelry would show up in the States from India with genuine sapphires (used to have a pair of earrings and a ring), but not of this clarity. And, sapphires don't normally have that many inclusions? Perhaps another stone? https://www.gemselect.com/other-info/blue-gemstones.php

True, there are 'regular' sapphires, and sapphires of precious gemstone quality. The latter are clear.

    Maybe it's Kyanite?
