    Hi

Does anyone know anything about this plate (which I am assuming is a tourist item)?
    Country, Maker etc.

    Thank you as always

This is taken from the famous Bayeux tapestry, so I would look for France or Great Britain as an origin of this plate.

Not Scandinavian. It is a scene from the Bayeux Tapestry, so it could have been made on either side of the Channel.

The BX in the mark may stand for Bayeux.

It is the part where the Normans ship the horses over to England for the invasion:

Heehee! So happy to be able to say I've seen that in person! My kids took me on a trip for my 70th birthday last year: London, Paris, Normandy, Marseilles! Spent a full day in Bayeux, farmers market in the morning, Lace Museum, then the tapestry. Once in a lifetime trip!

That is what I said to a friend of mine, so glad I had the opportunity to see Notre Dame before, but I grieve for the coming generations who, regardless of the quality of the rebuilding and reconstruction, will never see the antiquities that are gone. A huge piece of history.

The French fire brigade chaplain said this morning that the real worry, when everyone was rescuing items, was that they would be damaged whilst being rescued !
