Featured scgriffito pottery vase

    Hi folks

    found this today in our local charity shop(2)

    quite nice for what i paid for it. made quite nicely

    not sure if its a uk studio pottery type or from further afield

    no marks at all which doesn't fill me with much confidence

    any thoughts or info appreciated

    maybe the Toucan points to a maker or region..?

    Sweet piece of clay...all of it!
    I especially like the color of that glaze...a keeper!

    An excellent summary of their craft & history, Books!
    I note the site says:
    Every piece is signed by the individual artist who created it.
    Might be something to look for an' find, perhaps hidden in foliage, or feathers?

    been over it with a fine tooth comb after whits great suggestion but nada i can see aqui ;)

    yeah that base mottled colour is really quite effective, like a bakelite bowling ball :)
