Featured scgriffito pottery vase

Hi folks

found this today in our local charity shop(2)

quite nice for what i paid for it. made quite nicely

not sure if its a uk studio pottery type or from further afield

no marks at all which doesn't fill me with much confidence

any thoughts or info appreciated

 

it 'is' nice !!!!!

maybe the Toucan points to a maker or region..?

Now that’s a odd thing to say..

 

Sweet piece of clay...all of it!
I especially like the color of that glaze...a keeper!

 

An excellent summary of their craft & history, Books!
I note the site says:
Every piece is signed by the individual artist who created it.
Might be something to look for an' find, perhaps hidden in foliage, or feathers?

 

I was always educating her on the wonders of nature in our own back yards!

any other explanation..... is on you !! .....

yeah that base mottled colour is really quite effective, like a bakelite bowling ball
