I inherited these 2 sconces from my grandmother who traveled abroad in Europe. Is there any value to them? I think there is but not sure how much. I don't know anyone that can help me with this 20200918_194933.jpg 20200918_195008.jpg 20200918_195218.jpg 20200918_195248.jpg 20200918_195346.jpg 20200918_195458.jpg

They appear to be tole and porcelain. Quite unusual. And condition appears to be good. They're not a pair though. (Both figures point left.)

If I'm crossing an unwritten rule of forumness I apologize. Nowhere to turn on an item like this

LOL I have no idea what that means but I was told people offered my grandmother money for them and she refused. Any recommendations on where to go to have them appraised? I live in North Central ohio

Marc, you're absolutely fine. Members shy away from giving values because there are lots of variables involved, including geography. But I can tell you that your vintage Made in Italy scones are likely to be very desirable. Don't know what your selling venue is but... I suggest you do a Google Image search with the terms "vintage Italy tole figural porcelain wall sconces" and see what comes up. Also do a search on etsy.com and eBay.com. (On eBay, be sure to start with Completed Listings.) The only minor issue I see is they're not a true pair. But wouldn't be a deal breaker for the person who wanted them.

It means if they were a true pair one would be pointing left, the other right.

Yes, same manufacturer. Look at this:

There are plenty but few-to-none with figural porcelain elements.

I love them! As Komo suggested, they would be lovely at Christmas. They'd fit right in with my holiday decor. ;)

If you see them on eBay, they will be found.
