Does anyone have experience scrapping gold by mail to any of the large companies that advertise on-line? I use a local refinery, but asking for a friend who does not have access to that.

    Thanks!

Their website is straight forward and easy to understand. I will tell my friend about them, and maybe suggest she send a small amount to start.

Have you used them, and if so, how was your experience?

    Thank you.

All I know personally is that a lot of small coin shops use Midwest Refineries to melt down their ugly common date coins and scrap silver they purchase over the counter in their stores. I haven't been paying as much attention to the metals markets over the past few years as premiums on silver have been crazy high, over my comfort zone but they seem to have a good reputation in the coin/silver stacking community.
