PEWTER-sm.jpg Hi- I'm trying to research some pewter I have held for many years. I'm looking for any info on age, maker, place of origin, etc. See pics for more. For reference, item A is a 9.5" plate/charger with "Superfine Hard Metal" and a crowned X on the back and winged lion with crown on the front. Item B is a pitcher with marks as shown. It's the most crude of the group. Item C is a tea/coffee pot with a floral mark on the bottom. Item D is a 1/2 pint mug with some maker marks above the 1/2 pint designation. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I mostly collect early American pewter, but I do see enough other to make some guesses.

    A - 19th century English
B - 19th or 20th century (pic too small) probably silver plate pitcher missing plating
C - continental Europe (maybe tulip says Dutch) but probably reproduction. Look at the hinges, bottom and inside to figure age.
D - 20th century reproduction English measure tankard
