    Hi all,

    I have a small figure of a seated warrior/god of some kind, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what it's purporting to be. I say purporting to be, as it is no doubt a tourist piece.

    Sorry of I'm in the wrong part of the forum for this question, I'm a stranger round here :)

    Here are a couple of pictures

    I think it's supposed to be a seated Egyptian god. The blue color is imitating faience, a bluish glaze commonly found on Egyptian antiquities. Probably a tourist piece, like you said.

    What does the bottom look like? How tall is it?

    I am so sorry I have no info for you. It reminds me of the haunted Tiki God that Greg Brady found on the episode of the Brady Bunch when they went to Hawaii. I think it's cool looking.

    That thing was taboo! I was always disappointed that they never showed the coral and jade pin that Carol wanted from the gift shop.

    Hi all, thanks for the replies. I have attached a picture of the bottom of it, I was thinking wood but it has a bit of weight to it. It's 49 grams.

    Mark already accepts it as so, & I have no hesitation in saying, from pix & description of looks like wood but seems too heavy, that this is a repro of something, perhaps cast in resin. The turquoise colored glaze raises thoughts of Egypt, but think Fid may be on right track.

    @Taupou ?
