seeking any insight/info on this cross

hello, thanks for taking the time to read my post, i recently came across this cross and it's not like any other cross i've ever seen, i believe it is bronze or copper and came from central or lower mexico but wouldn't be the first time i was incorrect. if anyone might have some insight or something, that would be wonderful. happy holidays. http://tinypic.com/r/evcm4l/9

It might help us to help you if we had more information. Like - what material (wood, metal, ceramic?), size, weight. Also a picture of the back, please.

And one observation - it may be an optical illusion, but does the upper part have a hole in it for hanging (as in a pendant?)
