Picked this up today at my local thrift. pretty inexpensive!
21" tall x 14" wide. Works perfect and came with key.
I haven't removed the back yet and was hoping to date it without having to?
    Any and all input appreciated.

The back is nailed on? Is it supposed to be?

I think I answered my first question. Seth Thomas date code on the back
    Would be March of 1914?

Thank you Patty. I wonder why the Seth Thomas is above the dial and all the others that I've seen have it below the dial. Also the locking mechanism for the cover. Piece of wood screwed to the back.

My Seth Thomas clock has the name in the upper part of the dial.

It isn;t the same style and is likely newer. It was my grandmother's, so I'm thinking 30s or 40s ?

The date code inside says it was made in 1968. That's much older than I expected, but it is what it is.

I guess the Clockies are off for the Holiday.
    Happy Easter if you observe.

@verybrad your thoughts and is the wood Mahogany?

Style is basically a octagon (eight side) regulator - It's time only, no chime so, typical of what you'd see in offices, schools. etc. from 1900-40's. I'd say this looks to be 1920's 30's.

AAAHHH, I was wondering why there was only 1 hole for the key, no chime :)

    I think it's called a Short Drop.
The Mahogany wood and the gold make it more office or home than school. A step above the Oak Schoolhouse clocks.

It has been confirmed the numbers on the back = to March of 1914. The actual model number on the works it Pat.1907.
