    Hi all,
I've been at it again :)
This box needed an almost complete refurb.

The scraps are Victorian (used a couple of the cards you sent me cxgirl :)) as is the velvet.
I gave the outside a few coats of Dark Oak varnish and clear varnish on the scraps.
The thimble holder was made from wood that was the pin cushion.
Hope you all like seeing it :)

I gotta learn how to do this stuff...

    Writing boxes, yes.

    Sewing boxes? I've never tried...

It's all trial and error really.
I still come across things I've never done in sewing boxes :)

I'm pretty good with writing boxes. But never tried a sewing box. I should try and pick one up somewhere in not-too-bad condition and see if I can work something on it. I already have most of the other stuff...
