What can you do with a box of old shotgun butts? Apart from keep the fire going a while.

I know some artists who'd love those. They'd make a mad Christmas tree, for example.

I imagine being artists they have no money, though. :-(

Dunno - depends what they owe you. ;) I could see twenty or thirty quid maybe?

My dad is a gunsmith/collector....he would love to have a lot like that. He uses them to repair old shotguns, or make a totally unique new gun. You might be suprised what a collector would pay

Seems to me that beyond what they are possibly reusable for, the wood would be wanted by some craftsman.

They look like a perfect Etsy item, where the upcycled and repurposed thrive, so the upcyclable and repurpusable also seem to do well.

I think they are neato. That kinda of unknown market item, I usually try auction listing starting at a price I would be happy selling them for. You never know.

I thought I'd put the box out at fleamarket at a fiver apiece.

It's a thought. Then you take the first packet that walks along wanting the whole lot. I can see a repair person wanting all of them, stocks on old shotguns being what they are.

They'd all be British shotguns of no great distinction, I expect.

At a fiver apiece I would expect the first interested guy to come along would take 'em all. I'd buy 'em all for that and I don't even know why, just sounds like a h***uva deal from here. I'd put 'em out 100 for the lot take the first 75 that comes along.

(I know, pounds, not dollars. I considered that.)
