Hi glassies, I have this cute little opalescent swirl shaker and it's missing the top. I tried searching Eboo but all I could find was shakers with tops, not replacements. Does anyone have and ideas of search terms for me?

    I think it's a salt shaker, it's quite small, 2-1/4" (6cm) tall.

Thank you for any suggestions :)

I know, it was a gift from the Eboo PGP board Christmas gift exchange we used to do a few years back. I have gotten a few very nice pieces in those gift exchanges!

Well that is very nice. I don't have a lid to send to you, but surely someone must!!

If you put the outside diameter of the opening, Marie, maybe you'll get lucky and one of our 'family' will have one! Long-shot, but you never know...

IF it were essential, I'd suggest looking at DollarTree for a dollar shaker with the right sized lid! ;)

Buckeye Glass Co., Martins' Ferry Ohio, ca. 1888, AKA Reverse Swirl. White opalescent. That won't find you a lid, though, your best bet is to find one like it plain and take the lid.

Google " Salt shaker lids". None will be old, but some will work. We have several hundred shakers and are always looking for trashed shakers with good lids. The newer lids don't look right, but who wants a nude shaker.

I think there are some sellers on eboo or perhaps etsy that sell replacement lids.
Also google and see if there are any replacement hardware sites that have the size you need Unless you can find an identical one on eboo where the shaker is still there and it is going for not a lot of money,

Etsy has lots of tops if you go there and search on shaker lids.

Didn't see anything that small though. I will look through what we have, as there might be something in that great big box full of lids.

If they are ever allowed again, take it to a local antique show. Some dealers will have a box or two of orphan lids.
