Featured Shaker rocker

Where can I find knowledgeable, passionate people that might know more about this chair? I'd like to learn more, including where and when it was likely made.

It's a beautiful chair-- light, seemingly strong. It's been used and shows signs of wear and maybe a repair to an armrest. I'm not sure if it had finials at one point, or if this was original.

it's known as a ladder back......

 

do you think that it was made by the Shakers...or just that it's shaky ???

 

It’s not made or sold by Shakers. Komokwa is right - called a ladder-back and need more pics if hope to know how many mods were made (like whether finials removed).
