Signature help on painting please

Not old, but any ideas on the signature? Thanks for your time measures approx 27" x 18.5".

 

No idea, but I like it. She looks like the grandma everyone always wanted but didn't get.

I've been trying, I wanted it to be something like Chaudhry but that's not right. The closest I've gotten is Ashabury but I don't think that's it either.

I see Ah..?? s?y Maybe. Although that tail under the first letter could mean a foreign alphabet and not just a smear.

 

Good thought Bev, like a cedilla. I'm working at learning French so I should have thought of that. Could be.

Evelyb, I'm sort of seeing Abraham, too.

 

No idea, but I do speak French and it would be very unusual to have a name with a cedilla under the first C.
