Signature On Old Etching

    Found this wonderful old etching today and was wondering if anyone might recognize the signature. Signed in pencil lower right corner. Would this be what is considered an aquatint? Large picture measures about 24" by 30".

    That's a tough signature. It looks like "Bw..." but that's not too likely. I'd say "Bru..." but beyond that, I'm stuck.

    I did a Google image search for your print, but nothing turned up.

    Thanks Pat, I tried the image search and got the same. All kinds of similiar pictures, just not mine.

    Exactly.

    Don't know if you know this, but askart.com has a large database of artist's names you can go through. It can be tedious, but I've found artists sometimes by looking at any spellings that might match.

    Your print looks good enough to me that I think the artist might be in there.
