Signed Bowl Peru/South America "Pisac"

It does have a tiny chip at top edge which can be seen in the picture. The photo flash changes its color but in real life it's the same color as the rest of top rim so it's not as visible. It is 8 inches.

Any ideas on this?

Is that pattern hand-painted on?

No reason it is not hand painted. The designs are based on pre-columbian designs such as those on Paracas and Nasca/Nazca pottery and textiles.

 

have u seen how many paintings we see here...that are not signed...even good ones???
