Souvenir spoon maybe? The size is comparable. Thoughts on the mark? I'm assuming it is a worn 800, or something similar. I don't see any other marks. Thanks. silver spoon 800 mark (3).jpg silver spoon 800 mark (1).jpg silver spoon 800 mark (2).jpg

Hi, Libby! Good to see you over here!!!

I think it's Turkish. I have some without the script, just the crescent moon and star at the end. No clue how old they are though. Mine are demitasse size but I have seen them as Iced Tea size as well.

    Well Hi there, Sue!! :D
Yup, right size for demitasse. Is it 800 for Turkish? Or some other 8 number?

The 800 is the silver purity - used by many countries. I can't read the script but the crescent moon and star is on the flag of Turkey. It's common to see 800 in the bowl of Italian spoons, I guess Turkey as well?

I got excited when I first looked at that listing and saw $55...then I saw -0- bids :wacky:

I had a spoon like that somewhere along the way...made with a coin. Think I sold it with a bunch of other souvenir spoons.

A lot of folks reference this site and they've added a lot more international marks in the past couple of years.
