I looked on Ebay searching "Arabic script ring", and found a few different ones. Asking prices ranging from $89-$600. The highest one was in a 14K gold setting. One auction described it as a "prayer ring", but no idea if that is what yours is.

Compared to the Ebay ones, I have to say I like the design and look of yours even better. If you know anyone who reads Arabic, might be a start.

And Islamic? Were you able to verify the calligraphy as religious text?

Lovely ring. It is silver and carnelian btw, not amber.
The use of carnelian makes it likely that it is an Islamic aqeeq ring.
The carnelian could be Yemeni, the most valued type of carnelian, because according to some sources the prophet Muhammad is said to have had a Yemeni carnelian ring. This doen't mean that the ring was made in Yemen, carnelian was, and still is, exported.
There is nothing about the ring that indicates an Ottoman origin. Ottoman is one of those terms that is often thrown into listings to attract buyers. It is best to ignore it.;)
