    I see a head with a "w" and a "3", which to me says Polish, Warsaw, and 800 silver. Really can't make out what the other two stamps are.

    I tried too, but all I can get is the Polish 800 mark. It looks like a very subtle protest piece against Communist rule; it's designed like a piece of chain.

    That's it! Thank you so much. It looked vaguely familiar, and now you've said that, I know why - I've some amber in silver from Poland. One of the other marks says NO or ON, so presumably a maker. I like the thought of a protest piece.
