    Hi Everyone

I have a silver chain holding a pocket watch (different thread) and I am hoping someone can help me identify it and its value. I have attached a photo of the hallmarks, it seems to be a lion and a V with an engraving H84S, it's hard to see.

Help appreciated! If you need anymore photos do let me know

It is a typical silver chain from about 1920, judging by the hallmark on the tee bar. All the links have the lion passant silver mark.

As for value, these usually sell by weight, obviously the heavier the better. Typical is about 30 to 45 grams, very heavy ones are rarer and fetch a premium above average prices per gram. Compare ebay sold prices for chains of similar weight.

Ignore asking prices, these can be somewhat fanciful.

If it's a short one, i.e. an Albert, and heavy, they seem to be in vogue at the moment. That may change by next week.
