    Hello All,

I was just wondering if anyone recognised the marks on the bottom of this dish? Is it an owl mark I can see at the top? Any information would be most welcome.

Could be a hand, which was often used in Germany, but it depends on the period of the dish. The one below it looks to have a deer head as well as letters?

Could we see the entire piece please? Do you know anything about the background?

I thought it was the silhouette of a penguin with 2 heads :D

This is the full piece which I assume would have been a stand for something. I have not come across the marks before and unfortunately have no useful provenance.

How about the dimensions? Is there a liner of some sort?

Just wondering, are you sure it is silver, as opposed to silver plated?

The base is roughly 20cm diameter total and has no liner. I am guessing maybe there was one once and it is now missing? My other thinking was that is was a stand for a bowl (seems to be too small to hold a punch bowl though)

I am not 100% either way as I have been unable to test it yet. I was focusing on trying to find a maker or country or origin to start my search.
