Silver egg cup - need help!

    Hi
    I’m desperately trying to find some information on this egg cup I’ve found in the attic. Anything on its history?
    I’ve managed to understand some of the markings but I don’t have any experience with antiques.

    I can't say that I have ever seen a monogrammed and dated egg cup. Are the initials and date for someone in your family?

    I don't believe it is an egg cup but rather a tiny drinking cup (cordial?). Egg cups don't usually have a flared lip.
    I would love to see it cleaned up!

    Looks like a typical egg cup to me, with a nice sturdy lip - they're often monogrammed, and also a common Christening gift with a matching spoon, and sometimes a napkin ring, and/or other pieces...

    You may well be right. My egg cup collection is strictly china/pottery examples, not silver. :)
