    hi all

these are some pics of the silver glass cab necklaces i bought at local auction

modern, and can't be 100% sure there are silver but marked as

presuming they have to be glass(cold), which is quite a pretty glass, colour changes, goes orange red in light, purple and blue when not

look quite hobbyist/amateur made, but were only a fiver each

pics are a bit shaky as im having a dry january

    any thoughts appreciated

January was always dry in the southern mainland USA, so you are not alone there!
Following because this is intriguing - from green to pink! :)

These look like from India to me based on some recent purchases I made, regrettably, but at least it wasn't that much. Test that silver cause I doubt it is sterling.

No idea on the color changing aspect but it's cool. They're kind of like the mood changing rings of the 70's but more pronounced color change.

Charlie, I’m dry as well & being clear-headed simply cannot trust my vision (lol) - does the color change appear to be within the glass or as a top coat, such as aurora borealis rhinestones have? The blues & pinks of the first 2 necklaces seem to shift within, but that faceted pink color range looks applied… from here (kindly see disclaimer above). Imagine it may be more definitive in hand.

Do the beads change color from temperature change or from a change in the source of light (artificial light to sunlight)? Or does it just happen spontaneously?

I can see a coating on the backs of the pink ones. Not sure of the blue ones.

Hi there, not spontaneously or from heat

Blue ones are 2 tone purple and blue that goes right through, but goes that orange red when held to sunlight, purple under artificial light

Pink ones don't change in sunlight but do react under uv

    Blue ones don't under uv

    Confused yet ?:)

Not a single air bubble in any of the stones

Some kind is synthetic lab created stones ?

There was a third that I didn't win, same type but looking the stones look like synthetic rubies to me
