Silver Goblets questions...

Hey,

I recently bought a set of 3 silver Goblets. There are no maker's marks on them. I was trying to at least identify what they are. I have attached some photos of 2 of the 3.

Looks like nickel on steel. Does a magnet stick to them?

 

Magnet doesn't stick to it.

 

I was going to guess chrome and something-or-other.

 

Appearance and construction (like that circle inside the bowl and the way the bottom rim is folded in) do not look like silver.

These do not look like goblets. They look more like champagne / sherbets.

How tall are they? How many ounces of liquid do they hold when filled to the rim?

 

They appear to be chrome (possibly plated) cocktail glasses from the late 1920s, early 1930s, usually came in sets with a cocktail shaker (shaped like a coffee pot). I sold a set not long ago ans still have the odd piece laying about.

tip.....silver ...is usually marked ...sterling....935 , 925...830...800....84....or at least some finesse mark.......something there....
