    Hi All,
trying to figure out if these pieces are silver and if from India. Only one piece has a mark on the back. From searching on-line, I wonder if these would be Kashmir silver pieces? I'll break this up over 3 posts
    any information appreciated
    thanks for looking:)

#3 - not sure if this would be considered a sweetmeat set? The bowl is lined inside, both pieces have a shield cartouche on them. The tray is 6 3/4", the bowl is 1 3/4"H x 3 1/2"

    Gorgeous 'stuff', cx.
The leaf shaped dish is classic Kashmiri, but it is best to test if it is silver. I have a white metal one which many people mistake for silver.

I am rushing this, my dinner is waiting, so others may have to correct me.;)
The creamer and sugar look Kutch to me, it is Anglo-Indian. The other one is also Anglo-Indian, but I'll have to pass on the region. No time to look it up.:shame:

thank-you AJ, enjoy your dinner, I just finished my lunch:) Will see what I can find using Kutch:) These pieces are way beyond what I usually see, certainly interesting searching and seeing so many beautiful pieces.

I suddenly remembered your thread, cx. Late reply.:sorry:

I think the last set could be Kutch as well. It is certainly Anglo-Indian.

The Kashmiri leaf shape is called a 'chinar leaf'. A chinar is like a plane tree or sycamore. It is the symbol of Kashmir. It is a sweetmeat dish, btw.
