Featured Silver locket

    Does anything on this locket give away its age please?. The clasp on the chain makes me think fairly modern but not sure if they started life together!
    Think marcasites and red stones of some sort.
    It’s stamped 925 on the chain and inside the locket. Filthy as you can see!

    Hi, the chain is 1980s and I think the locket is a similar date, but it's a little later than my normal stuff so hopefully someone else will be able to tell you definitively :)

    I concur.:pompous: Very pretty though.:)
    The chain looks Italian, the vinaigrette/scent box style pendant could have been made in India. The red stones could be garnets.

    Now I've put garnet in as a search term there are some similar ones on eBay so very recent. They say Thailand too. However for £1.99 I'm not complaining as they are listed from £35-£50 without a chain. I also think it's very pretty and I particularly like the twisty chain. Thanks for the guidance :)
