    Hi,
More silver I need help with.
#1 - 4 serving spoons with a mark that I can't find - looks like a bull or cow to me.
#2 - Forks that I believe are dated 1810 London but unsure of the maker. In the link attached that mark shows several different makers. I'm also wondering about the tines on these forks, the two outer tines are shorter than the inside two.
    Any information appreciated.
    thanks for looking.

On the forks, my first guess would be Sharp - his dates work and he did flatware. That is just a guess, of course.

I've often seen the outer tines shorter than the others - I've always assumed it was a matter of wear, but I suppose it's possible that they were made that way.

I believe the date letter is a lower case "p" rather than an upper case "P." If so it would be for 1790 rather than 1810?

The WS maker's mark is hard to tell for sure! With the dot between the W S and the shape of the punch, there are certainly many that could fit like the group of

    Wm. Stephenson
    Wm. Sutton
    Wm. Sumner I
    Wm. Sumner II

The dates of their mark fall in range of 1790-1799 per the English Silver Makers Mark site.

    Good point, Susan.

But as AF always says - some blokes in a shed. ;)
