It's possible the letters are arranged like many monograms, with the initial of the last name/word in the center. You may be looking for a BTA, perhaps BT Academy? Looks school related to me. 'Greek' organization another possibility, if there's a beta alpha tau or beta tau alpha that sometimes uses Roman letters.

Could be completely off base, but I'm seeing a few (somewhat) similar called "Sweetheart pins".

Also if you scroll down one had the number "51" for a WW1 51st battalion.

    thanks for the replies folks:)
thanks Lucille, sweetheart pin makes sense:) I wondered about the 51st Battalion, it came with this badge from the 63rd Battalion, both were Infantry and from Edmonton Alberta, but with the wings I was thinking air crew/force. I also thought maybe nursing, but nothing down that rabbit hole either

I totally see school/school's social club. Class of '51.

I agree that sweetheart brooch/pin is most likely. The number on the chain is probably because they made them for different battallions, and attached the specific number to the chain.
I agree, Air Force or Army or Navy Air Service.

I'm still leaning to the school thing, but there are so many schools in the world wide world. :hilarious:

I'd say odds on it's a school pin. The wings are the wrong shape for aviator's.
