Silver Plate Centerpiece

I don't have pictures of the exact piece, but I found a few online that are a match or similar enough. I was hoping to figure out who made the bowl before my next chance to buy it. The bowl has "dolphins" at the feet and rams heads at the sides.

One says English, another says attributed to George B Sharp. I was unable to find anything else looking like that that was actually marked by Sharp.

No marks.

Rainwater gives dates for Sharp that seem a bit too early for silverplate and the only marks she shows look like coin silver marks to me. That first linked item does look lovely.

 

Looks like Sharp was around longer than I thought from my quick look at Rainwater.

That one is truly gorgeous! I can't understand why any maker wouldn't mark something this impressive.
