    Hello

i bought these silver plated candlestick holders. Victorian era i think.

How would i describe them? They have an unusual shape, are they from a particular era/style?

    18cm height

    thank you

yeah they are sumptuous, maybe the yellow areas are remains of gilding instead of plate loss

Very nice pair, probably made for a dining table.
You can get bottles of silver plater fluid, that would work perfectly on these.:)
The yellow is also on the protruding ridges, where you would expect most of the plate loss.

Thanks @Any Jewelry i will have a look at plater fluid.

I haven’t tested but 99% sure these are plated from the way they have tarnished.

Seeing the monogram makes me think they were maybe a wedding gift.
