Silver plated candlestick holders

Hello

i bought these silver plated candlestick holders. Victorian era i think.

How would i describe them? They have an unusual shape, are they from a particular era/style?

they are very nice...& look thin to be plated.....
sure they're plated ?

 

I'm not sure what they would be called......
but I am sure they are candlesticks......and not candlestick holders..!!

 

yeah they are sumptuous, maybe the yellow areas are remains of gilding instead of plate loss

 

Very nice pair, probably made for a dining table.
You can get bottles of silver plater fluid, that would work perfectly on these.

The yellow is also on the protruding ridges, where you would expect most of the plate loss.

I haven’t tested but 99% sure these are plated from the way they have tarnished.

I guess that monogram, and u not mentioning any marks...is leading me in that direction too !

 

Seeing the monogram makes me think they were maybe a wedding gift.
