Any help on this watch would be great please. I thought a simple google search would throw up lots of info but nothing except some divers watches.
Selhor 09 on the dial and stamped 800 on the back and the strap and two geese in ovals on the back.
    Also a stamp that appears to be a S a dagger/sword (maybe meant to be a T?) and a U.
I know less about watches than I do about jewellery (so not a lot) so any info about the brand or ideas on age etc
    Thankyou :)

Those look like swans not geese - and swans have been used on silver goods in France.

I agree, the French swan. The watch could be German, although the sword mark looks French, for one of the silver organisations perhaps.

My bird ID is pretty sketchy too!
I've just looked on a forum and it would appear to be French and reasonable quality and that's about all I've found out. I'll keep digging as I'd really like to know how old it is. Are they still using the 800 mark on the continent?

Only some parts of the Continent, but then they never used it everywhere.
I know people call 800 Continental silver, but it isn't. It was used in some European and other countries, but not all and not in all periods of history, so it can never be called Continental silver imo. The countries that used 800 traditionally had higher finenesses as well, so 835, 935, 950 and 959 are Continental silver too.;)
Most countries are changing to 925.
